A self-eulogising song

SONIC EXPERIENCE!
“All the fine fine girls, them love me now [Diceyyyy]
Guys them too, them feel me [Diceyyyy]
Miracle boy [Diceyyyy]
Mo ko e je gan [Diceyyyy]”
Chocolate City new act Dice Ailes has released his second single. An Afropop self-eulogising single. After enjoying a little stint of success from his debut single enough for you. I guess it is a call for celebration eh Dicey?
The intro of the song is quite catchy, the instrumentals, the background voices and Dicey's vocal prowess. It is one of the strong suits of the song.
The melody of the song is an amusing one, the subtle and progressive change of tempo from time to time heralded by his move from singing to talk-singing (almost like rap) was a buttery experience for us.
The instrumentals were well varied and it matched the tempo of the song, setting a hypnotic and engaging rhythm for our listening pleasures.
We were able to get the storyline from the lyrics and the video, the message was not an ambiguous nor abstract one but quite direct in its vainess.
The lyrics lacked any lyrical depth whatsoever. While we get this is a self-congratulatory song, it focuses too much on all the vain things. Hey, I know, those in glass houses should not throw stones, well, except you are in a military grade bullet proof glass house (wink).
We all enjoy and deserve some vanity in our celebration, especially if we have reached a milestone. Don't just get too carried away. All in all, Diceyyy is a very relatable song and many are actually waiting on when they will also blow. Not that Dice Ailes has really blown, but at least he has moved from obscurity to a level of the spotlight, no matter how small.
For us, this song earns a SONIC EXPERIENCE!
