‘Its Del b on the beat’ that phrase is no longer new to our ears, as the veteran producer and songwriter Del b team up with some of the finest in the industry to create this cool track which is titled ‘Penetrate’. The track features Patoranking and Dj Neptune.

Positives

When producers decide to create tracks of their own, it’s usually interesting; I mean they are supposed to be the sound gods when it comes to creating music, so it is assumed that they know the right kick, snare, instrument or percussions to be used in making that track a banger. Well, Del b didn’t disappoint on this track.
The 97bpm instrumental starts with soft percussions and some piano chords and Patoranking’s vocals leading us through the song. The song is a soft indoor relaxing song with some sax-like instrument played to give it that emotional feel. Del b included a bass instrument to give it that African vibe to remind us that it’s still Afro-sound.
The song encourages listeners to put in more effort and keep working in other to achieve their aim.

Negatives

When it comes to writing meaning lyrics, most artists don’t just get it through this stage. The lyrics on this song started quite well at the beginning, as Patoranking delivered well at the intro, but towards the end, it is very obvious that they were short of words which led them to repeat lines over again. The title of the song didn’t necessary follow with what they sang instead they decided to give us rhymes with words that end with ‘ate’.

Bottom Line

Great afro vibe jam. An indoor song, a song that can be played at a bar.
