Plot Synopsis

A very relatable song that asks God for the one chance to have at least a HIt

Verses

“Dear Lord, help my destiny Let Someone invest in me Like Otedola,
cos I want to blow O ti kpe,
Lati SS3 I’ve been blessed with the melody Lord That was many years
ago Eh, I don dey pray baba I don
dey taya Lord, When, only heaven knows”

Cobhams Asuquo is most definitely a timeless Musician. He sings about the actual problems of life and not the normal shallow and meaningless songs out there (Yep I said it!). It’s a shame his song does not get the publicity his talents command, radio stations are busy playing the continuously recycled sounds to us. In this song, Cobhams touches on a very important thing, an experience every musician has gone through. Asking for just one hit at least.

Positives

The intro of the song is a proper introduction, nothing elaborate but just something to give us a feel of the song. It leads smoothly into the song beautifully like a masterstroke.
The lyrics of the song has so much musical depth, it talks about his desire which is an extension of everyone's desire out there to become successful in whatever they are doing. He goes ahead to compare the hit he is praying for with the likes of A-List Artistes like Wiz, Olamide, 2baba and so many more.
The melody of the song is well strung together. A beautiful piece and it is what we can call beautiful music. The song is tuneful and shapely.
The vocal performance is without a doubt great. The song is able to keep us compelled and engaged partly due to the vocal prowess. The vocals were crisp and clear, it was expressive and full of passion.
The instrumentals are predominantly piano, with every stroke complemented the song itself. This is indeed a great song and we cannot sing praises about the song well enough.

Bottom Line

Pure talent, that is what this song is. Unfortunately, it does seem like Nigeria does not support talent. We were excited about doing this review and it was a fresh breath from what we had been reviewing.
We will definitely be adding this song to our playlist.
