Fine Boyz like us, na them dey rush us
Eh, all the fine girls, na them dey rush us
Yellow or Dudu, na them dey rush us
Orobo, Lepa, dem dey rush us
A comic single from CDQ, it leverages on the comedy clip from an unidentified movie (SMH, we are literally giving you the face right now Nollywood for poor movie archiving!) “Na Dem Dey Rush Us”. This single is titled Fine Boys and it was Produced by Jaypizzle and Mixed by Dynamite.
A lively and catchy beat to start the song. It makes the intro quite fast paced with a quick tempo. Further reinforced by the seamless introduction of CDQ's vocals.
The vocals were audible enough for us and it seemed the vocal depth fitted seamlessly into the song.
The Melody of the song is nothing great, at best it was average but that was to be expected from a song like this.
The instrumentals had a good rhythm to them. It gave the overall beat of the song and interesting sound. However as is usually the case with most Nigerian beats, it does sound similar to other beats. On the bright side, this beat compliments the song well.
The lyrics of the song are supposed to be comedic and light hearted so we will not be too harsh on the song. However, we did feel, in place of Ambode and Shina Peller that they mentioned, CDQ could have written something more interesting. We get that Shina Peller is a fine boy but Ambode? We are not too sure about that. Oh well, he was talking more about money there anyway.
The song does not have a video, one would have expected that a song with such comic effect will leverage on that and give us a creative and funny video to spice things up but nope. For some strange reasons, they decided against that. We believe a video would have made the song even more relevant, especially if it is a relatable one.
