3 & 1 Pre-Chorus
“Ye” is the 7th track from Burna Boy’s latest Album “Outside” released January 26, 2018, written by his humble self and Damini Ogulu, did I just call Burna Boy Humble? He clearly has a lot of rumors going on around him, I don’t know how genuine they can be.
The flow was right on key with the piano after then his intro came in and the backup voice is right on key. the song sends a message to all the street hustlers who clearly knows their onions, not everybody is proud of what they do likewise some niggas love whatever is going on that puts food on the table. No one is going to help you, everybody wants to live luxury but they are not ready to work for it.
The song passes a message in a rap & hip hop way, but Oluwaburna, "should we always be high on something before we can understand the lyrics of your song", you need to give us a song we will understand when we are calm. 70% of the fans out there I have met who sings along with this track were clearly on something not in this realm (you know what I mean).
After shouting “Ye” for 96 times on one track, that’s if am not mistaken, this man here sure knows how to get his fans going along with his flow, although I still see no meaning to the word “Ye” in a song like this.
What still baffles me is how the Nigerian Music industry rates their own, about the last prestigious Headies Award that was hosted, to my biggest surprise Burna Boy was not nominated on any of the categories, that is sad and very low-thinking of the organizers. I’ll hold it right here and see what happens this year.
Thanks in favor of sharing such a pleasant thinking, piece of writing is
