SONIC EXPERIENCE!

There is no stopping this African Giant it seems. From one hit track to another. After being the only African artist to have a whole single in the new Beyonce The Gift; The Lion King album. He is back with a new track titled Pull Up. This is actually one of the songs of Burna Boy that will have strong Afropop influence like this and this is not a bad thing.

Positives

The song starts with a gentle and serene instrumental playing. After a while, drums were being played and Burna Boy started singing.
Pull Up is actually a love song. The lyrical structure of the song is mostly decent. The plot development also
This is one of the few Afropop themed Burna Boy songs, we liked the different sound. However, he did mix his usual Dancehall and Afrobeat into the song. The melody of the song is decent, we just expect more. However, that is not to say the melody was disappointing, far from it.

Negatives

There were times we strained to hear what Burna Boy was singing. This was perhaps because of a couple of factors most notably the drums that were playing. We could hear his voice, we just found it difficult to hear the actual words at times.
We are used to high standards from Burna Boy and it is okay for it not be as high as we get most of the times. Do not get us wrong, this song is probably better than an average Nigerian Musician's. It just failed to resonate with us and that is all.
