Read the review below:
On hearing Fela's speech at the beginning of the record, I knew I was about to go on an energetic journey with this record. 'Monsters You Made' is the first of its kind from a Nigerian, an alternative rock song.
The production was simple, but energetic. Leriq used simple chords with a heavy synth and bassline. The rhythm weren't complex but simple. You could argue that it has a reggae feel, but that's just the vibe. Burna came through with a special message on the white man's exploitation of Africa. Chris Martin topped it up with an amazing chorus to match.
The overall production was good, as the vocals were clear, audible and well-balanced with the instrumentals.
This is a very important and powerful record. SOundstgroke recommends.
