Plot Synopsis

A club banging Afro fusion song

Verses

It was not a surprise that Zlatan hopped on Buju’s spiritual after the latter posted a video on social media yearning for A Zlatan verse on his song. Buju, a student of Babcock University, is a relative unknown act, but this might just kick-start his long awaited journey to fame. The song is produced by Steph, another certified hit-maker. Buju has also dropped a dope tune a while back titled ‘Commander’. You can check that out too.

Positives

Buju’s audible and soothing vocals were the highlight of the song as the instrumentation was a bit light. His melody choices were close to perfect and it blended well with the dark chords of the song. The lyrics were not as scanty as we got the actual message of the song. There were also little corny punchlines from Buju himself on the first verse. Yet again, Zlatan did no wrong with his occasional adlibs, making the song groovier. His verse also proves he is one of the best rappers in Nigeria as the flows were organized with good lyrics.

Negatives

Although a certified hit-maker, Steph's instrumentation were light. This might have been a deliberate approach to compensate the dark minor chords that portrayed the theme and ambience of the whole song. Sadly, the most interesting part of the song (the first chorus) was not repeated.
