Plot Synopsis

A wavy Afrobeat song

Verses

2

After the chart-topping success of Spiritual Featuring Zlatan, Buju is here again with a new song he calls, L’enu. The headies nominated artiste vibes on a Steph produced beat for this one.

Positives

Steph started with a blend of different percussions that gave the song an Afrobeat vibe. The kick, shakers, snare, and African sticks started the song and we were just ready to dance. The instrumental was good and danceable. The chorus was amazingly catchy and infectious, as the melody was melodious! The occasional harmony kept the song going.

Negatives

Although the vocals were clear, the reverb effect was a little too much. Buju’s delivery was quite laid back and lacked energy. The verse was vaguely scanty and less interesting than the chorus. All round, there isn’t any climatic part of the song. The song is average but innovative. The lyrical composition was bang average and lacked substance.

Bottom Line

Buju is definitely an artist to look out for as he has shown with his artistry. L'enu is an okay song. The song that shows his creativity, but not the song that can portray his potential longevity.
