Brymo recently claimed he was one of the most talented musicians currently around (and this is us phrasing it in a modest manner). He may just not be all talk because Brymo is sure talented!. The craziest thing is he does not seem to care to tweak his style to suit the Nigerian style and we love him for that! Heck! He does not even need to, he has been surviving in his own corner doing his own thing. Thank you Brymo for not conforming to the nonsensical rampant noise out there.Thank you for giving us a unique sound. Johnbull is another of his wonderful songs that people will be quick to classify as alternative because hey, almost everyone sings basically the same noise.
John Bull starts with an array of guitar piano instrumentals playing for a while with the intro of drums This is is one of the longest instrumentals-only intros we have listened to.
The song talks about Johnbull and his experiences in life. We liked the theme of the song. The story, structure of lyrics and even the plot development. It was obvious Brymo took his time to write the song.
Bfrymo's vocals are subliminal, he has a naturally beautiful sounding voice with a nice tone. It showed that Brymosure knows how to control his notes. One could feel his passion and talent throughout. he conveyed his emotions well.
The melody of the song is what most will classify as Alternative Rhythm an Blues. Rhythm and Blues are rare enough these days but a unique sounding one that actually sounds nice is gold!
The major weakness of Brymo is probably his team. We could not even find Johnbull on YouTube as of the time of writing this review. he needs a team that can constantly hype and create fanfare for his new tracks. What is the essence of great content when the distribution is poor, when as many people are not listening to it?
