SONIC SOUL!

Broda Shaggi, popularly known as a comedian on Instagram has musical talent also. He demonstrated this in Shi, a Yoruba themed song that sounded like all those songs that are laced in wisdom. The track sounds great and it was sounding like a song Brymo will sing!

Positives

Shi starts with some really rich sounding instrumentals, there were several mixes of instrumentals, from different drums to pianos and even more native instruments. Broda Shaggi's intro vocals were also nice, the intro of the song was able to give us enough information on what to expect from the remaining part of the song.
From what we could discern, Broda Shaggi was asking not to be written off or be unestimated and he was proclaiming for the door to open in a figurative sense. In other words, he is looking forward to when he will also get his major break in the music industry.
Broad Shaggi surprised us with his vocal prowess, to put simply, we were blown away. His vocals got us glued to the speakers.
The melody of the song gives off this melancholic sober feeling, it sounds great but it also makes the song sound like Broda Shaggi musing about a couple of things

Negatives

Shi is Yoruba themed and heavily influenced by the Yoruba Culture including the lyrics. Many non-Yoruba speaking fans may be turned off because they will find it difficult o understand most of what he was singing.
Furthermore, the Yoruba theme is heavy and it influences the sound of the song, this may be a turn off for some also even though it does sound good.
