SONIC TRAINWRECK!

Broda Shaggi ever remains the comedian! He has decided to do his cover of Beyonce’ Brown Skin Girl. Of course, he added a lot of comic relief on his own version of the song. We found it funny to some extent. He released the song today, 5th of August

You can listen to the song below:

Positives

The song starts with a rather funny voice of a small child. The intro was accompanied by some instrumentals.
This is a comic and inverse cover of Beyonce and Wizkid's Brown Skin Girl. A whole lot of artists have been doing the cover of the song. However, Broda Shaggi managed to capture our interest when we saw the title "Black Skin Boy". The lyrics of the song is as expected; nothing serious really and he talks about Black-skinned boys.
The vocals of the song were at least decent. we were able to hear what he was singing without any problems.
Although the beat sounded similar to a gazillion other beats out there, listening to it carefully made us realise it had some unique elements that sounded great.

Negatives

It turned out that the intro instrumentals were not unique. It felt like we had heard a gazillion times already.
We understand that the song is a comic one, however, we still could not help but wonder about the quality of the lyrics. It could have been better written but oh God forbid they sit down and write actual proper lyrics.
The plot development of the song is decent at best and the structure f lyrics are just plain unimpressive.
Not only are the lyrics poor, but Broda Shaggi also failed to deliver in terms of melody. We do not think because a sog is a comedy song they have to sacrifice the melody of the song and other important qualities.

Bottom Line

At the end of the day, the song was not really as funny as we would have like and we were not impressed really.
