Blaqbonez has created a wave for himself with his controversial ‘Best rapper in Africa’ claims. During an interview on BeatFm (99.9), he voice that he has gotten about 40 diss tracks in the past month. After the success of his last two projects, BadBoyBlaq and BadBoyBlaq Re-up, the self-proclaimed best rapper in Africa has decided to dive into new sounds in search of a hit song. Shut up is his new single off his Upcoming EP ‘Mr. Boombastic’
The song started with a Blaqbonez patois rant and we knew this song had to have heavy kicks. Tempoe did a great job with the instrumentation, lacing organized percussion with an infectious minor chord. Blaqbonez didn’t fail to deliver with his lyrics, channeling is inner dancehall persona. He adopted PrettyBoy D-O’s vocal dexterity for the performance. Blaqbonez literally kept the song short and simple, but it carried a heavy message.
Shut up might just be Blaqbonez break out single to non-hip-hop fans and the famous Alte community.
Shut up will definitely hit the club hard, but it bangs harder when you’re cruising on third mainland bridge without traffic. I don’t think you would want to be left out of the Blaqbonez wave, would you?
