SONIC EXPERIENCE!

Black magic has a rather unusual style of music. A notable mixture of afrobeat and rap/hip-hop. The same can be said for this single titled bad intentions.

Positives

The song starts with a hip-hop like song, not a bad intro at all. It is followed by Black magic's vocals.
The melody of the song is quite interesting. It had this Fela-afrobeat sound with some rapping thrown into the mix. The song was very reminiscent of Fela, however, the song does not have the quality of melody Fela's songs usually have.

Negatives

The vocals of the song is not clear, we found ourselves straining too hard to try to listen to what Black Magic was singing. In fact, we feel like the mixing was done poorly because at some points his voice sounded lower and at another point, it was louder. We know that was probably the effect they wanted but it just did not turn out well.
We liked the instrumentals, it was just the mixing that was horrible. Furthermore, it felt like the song was produced on a very small budget. The quality was poor and we were not really enjoying it as we should have.
