SONIC SOUL!
Bayziq, a relatively new and unknown musician has just released a new song titled Fela. Fela is a song that draws a lot of inspiration from the late legend himself Anikulapo Ransom Kuti. A part of the song reminds us of a certain E no finish we reviewed a while ago.
The song starts with some instrumentals and an impressive bass drum. The intro of the song starts like you would expect a Fela song to start.
The vocals of the song are decent. We had no issues hearing what Bayziq was singing about.
The melody of the song is very rich. It has a very passive influence of Afropop while the majority of the song basically screams Afrobeat.
The instrumentals of the song are great, we liked the crisscross of different instruments playing. Although there a variety of instrumentals playing, we did not get distracted from the main song itself.
The structure of the lyrics are horrible, we could hardly follow the story of the song if there was any. It just felt like a couple of related and unrelated lyrics were matched together.
Poor lyrics structure, rich melody and a great sounding beat are the components of this song. We actually recommend it for your listening pleasure.
