Oludemilade Martin Alejo was born on the 29 January 1993. He’s known by this stage name Ycee is a fast rising Nigerian rapper, singer, song writer, record artiste and stage performer. He grew up in Festac Town, Lagos State in the western part of Nigeria. He’s very skillful, creative and talented. He raps mostly in Pidgin, Yoruba language and English. He completed his primary school education at Dr. Soyemi Memorial Nursery and Primary School in Festac Town, Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained his first school leaving certificate. After completing his primary and secondary school education, he got admitted to University of Lagos (UNILAG) where he studied Marine Biology. He combined both his music career and his academic studies together. He’s currently 24 years old. He’s also called Zaheer.

He started his music career in 2012 as an underground rapper prior to signing a music contract with Tinny Entertainment. Due to his education engagements, he took time off music after gaining admission to study Marine Biology at UNILAG. In May 2005, he made a comeback to the entertainment industry after releasing his hit single “Condo”. The song was nominated the Best Collaboration of the Year and the BEST Music Video of the Year at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. On the 20th of July, he released his most popular hit single “Jagaban” a song that brought him to limelight. The song received massive airplays and made him more popular among music critics, including Olamide who requested to be featured on the remix of the song.
He became highly famous after he was nominated for the Revelation of the Year Award at the 2015 edition of MTV Africa Music Awards as well as earning a nomination for Best Artist in Africa Pop category at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards.He became a public figure after one of his singles titled “Condo” which features vocals from Patoranking earned him two nominations at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In October 2016, he signed a record deal contract with Sony Music. In December 2016, he was nominated for Next Rated at the Headies Awards. On the 12th of January 2018, he did his juice concert the O2 Academy, 16 Parkfield street, London, United Kingdom. In 2017, he released is first debit studio album “The First Wave” with hit singles like Jagaban, Link Up, Juice, Say Bye Bye, Omo Alhaji, Panda Cover and Smile on Me.
In the cause of his music career has been nominated for several awards with include Best Collaboration of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Revelation of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards and Best collaboration at the Soundcity Awards.
In the cause of his music career he also won several awards which include Rookie of the Year at the Headies Awards and Best African Hip-hop at the AFRIMA Awards.
