It has become a tradition for artists to dive straight into releasing an ep after two hit songs, T-classic is one of the 'New school' artists who fall into this category, After the successful release of his hit song, Nobody fine pass you under MixNaija entertainment which did quite well on digital stores, and with a quality video with over 4.6m views, an ep was expected. On Feb 21, T-Classic released his five-track debut ep 'Underrated' on digital stores.
'Underrated' is that ep that showed us who T-classic really is as an artist. The ep showcased TC as an artist who is capable of switching to any genre of music effortlessly. The five tracks on the underrated ep talk about money, love, and people, this is what the average targeted audience can relate to. Listen to each track we felt TC pored his emotions and his reality on this project. The ep featured two guest artists from the DMW Family, Peruzzi, and Mayoukun. both artists were featured on the same track, the idea wasn't a bad one, as both artists did justice to the track which gave the project a breath of fresh sounds from external artists.
The ep was produced by two producers, Wicked did most of the tracks and killer tunes on a track. The vocal delivery, lyrics, and organization are above average. Some of the tracks we enjoyed listening to are
Track 1 - Underrated
Track 3 - Where You Dey (feat. Peruzzi & Mayorkun)
Track 5 - Why
The replay value of these sounds is not something we are sure would scale through a 3 out of 5 ratings, at a point we thought these sounds are cliche and lacks that USP, T-Classic didn't give us that flavor we were expecting.
